I hope you have all had a good summer!
Few things to share,
Firstly all bus drivers who attended First Aid Training on April 4th, the employer has granted 2 additional hours at regular pay to compensate for the additional time spent in the first aid training.
The union filed a Grievance on April 14th and won the settlement!!!!
The new Code of Conduct training for all employees is scheduled for September 29th (in-service day). This is very important training for all of us, regardless of what classification you work in. Main topic, how to deal with and report student violence in your work space.
Start up meetings for Bus Drivers and Cafeteria workers are next week, please ask lots of question of the employer!
I would like to thank all the Janitors, Custodians and Trade person’s who worked over the summer. The schools look great!!
We will be holding Unit Meetings at the end of September, more information and date will be posted.
